Exact Filters® produces this 32-1/4 x 7-1/8 x 1″ filter to your measurements, so instead of trimming, taping, or forcing a “close enough” size into place, you drop in a filter that fits your 32-1/4 x 7-1/8 x 1″ slot the first time.
A properly fitting filter seals against the housing, so all return air is forced through the media instead of leaking around the frame.
At MERV 13, this filter removes a significantly larger share of fine particulate from your return air than standard mid-efficiency ratings — including smoke, bacteria-sized particles, and the fine dust that tends to resettle faster after cleaning. Because the media is denser, a properly sized HVAC system matters: check your blower’s static-pressure headroom before upgrading.
