This 20″ × 20″ × 6″ Koch Multi-Flo Synthetic Rigid Cartridge filter (part number 112-653-008) is a MERV 11 rigid extended-surface cartridge engineered for commercial VAV air handlers and high-airflow industrial systems.
Why a rigid cartridge?
The Multi-Flo is purpose-built for variable air volume applications where airflow changes throughout the day. The metal-and-plastic frame construction holds pleat geometry regardless of whether the system is running at 50% or 100% airflow. Non-rigid filters balloon or collapse under changing airflow, creating bypass paths.

- Media: Extended-surface synthetic pleated media, supported by rigid internal separators.
- Frame: Rugged metal and plastic composite — stands up to vibration and variable airflow.
- Header configuration: No Header.
- Efficiency rating: MERV 11 per ASHRAE 52.2.
What MERV 11 captures
Fine dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke particles, and smaller allergens. MERV 11 is the standard recommendation for households with allergies, asthma, or pets, and is commonly specified for commercial office spaces where indoor air quality is a priority. Confirm your system can handle the slight increase in static pressure compared to MERV 8.
