This air filter is made to a 38-1/2 x 25-5/8 x 1″ nominal size for HVAC systems, air handlers, and return grilles that require an exact custom dimension rather than a standard retail size.
A properly fitting filter seals against the housing, so all return air is forced through the media instead of leaking around the frame.
At MERV 13, this filter removes a significantly larger share of fine particulate from your return air than standard mid-efficiency ratings — including smoke, bacteria-sized particles, and the fine dust that tends to resettle faster after cleaning. Because the media is denser, a properly sized HVAC system matters: check your blower’s static-pressure headroom before upgrading.
