The Electrostatic Aluminum Washable Permanent Filter is a washable and reusable metal filter — wash it out every month or two, let it dry, and reinstall. No consumable to reorder, no packaging waste, no landfill trip. Typical service life is 5–10+ years with basic care.

When washable makes sense

What it doesn’t do

Washable metal filters typically rate around MERV 1–4 — they excel at equipment protection and airflow, not fine-particle filtration. If allergens, smoke, or fine dust are the priority, use a pleated MERV 8 or higher as the final filter.

Care and maintenance

• Frequency: Wash every 30–60 days (more often in dusty environments)
• Method: Rinse with warm water from the downstream side; mild detergent if needed. Shake dry, let air-dry completely before reinstalling.
• Orientation: Note the airflow-direction arrow before removing for cleaning.
