This is our custom-size AAF Flanders PREpleat Activated Carbon Odor Control filter — built to your exact dimensions when your housing doesn’t match a stock size. Combines pleated MERV 8 filtration with an activated-carbon layer that adsorbs odor-causing gases, VOCs, cooking smells, pet odors, and light smoke.

How activated carbon works

Activated carbon is microporous — a single gram has a surface area roughly equivalent to a football field. Odor molecules physically adhere to that surface (adsorption). Carbon saturates over time, so these filters should be replaced on the same 1–3 month schedule as the pleated media, or sooner if odor performance degrades.

How to order

Measure your filter opening to the nearest 1/8 inch in length, width, and depth. If replacing an existing filter, measure the filter itself. Contact us if you’re unsure — a photo of the existing filter or housing lets us confirm before production. Our Filter Fit Guarantee means if you measure wrong, we’ll remake the filter at no additional cost.

• Carbon media: Pleated activated-carbon-impregnated media bonded to a pleated filter substrate
• Frame: Moisture-resistant beverage-board with expanded-metal media support
• Particulate rating: MERV 8 while new, builds with dust loading
• Sizing tolerance: 1/8 inch increments
