Description

This 12″ × 12″ × 4″ AAF Flanders VariCel 2+ filter (part number 3184627-911) delivers MERV 15 filtration in a rigid extended-surface construction for commercial and industrial HVAC.

The VariCel 2+ uses AAF’s Impress® Technology for low initial resistance, superior mechanical strength, and energy-efficient operation in VAV and turbulent-airflow systems.

When VariCel is specified

• Variable air volume (VAV) commercial HVAC — rigid construction holds pleat geometry across the full airflow range
• High-humidity environments — moisture-resistant frame won’t delaminate or warp
• Turbulent airflow — reinforced construction handles velocity variation
• Specialized applications — paint-booth diffusion filters, cleanroom pre-filters, cannabis cultivation

What MERV 15 captures

Very high-efficiency commercial filtration: captures most sub-micron particles including smoke and bacteria. MERV 15 is typically installed in commercial air handlers purpose-built for high-efficiency media, or as a final filter in multi-stage filtration systems. Not appropriate for standard residential HVAC without system modification.
