Description

This 24″ × 48″ × 5″ Koch BioMAX 99.97% HEPA filter (part number H19A4X1) is a high capacity hepa filter, factory-tested for efficiency before shipment using non-toxic polyalphaolefin (PAO) aerosol. Every filter meets its rated 99.97% efficiency specification on 0.3 micron particles.

HEPA-grade filtration for critical environments

High Capacity — why it matters

BioMAX HC filters carry approximately 50% more filter media than standard-capacity variants. At equivalent airflows they run at lower average pressure drop, extending service life and reducing energy cost. They can operate at airflows up to 2000 CFM (500 FPM face velocity) with only a slight increase in resistance — ideal for new installations and system renovations.

Design and construction

• Media: Sub-micron glass fiber formed into a water-resistant, high-efficiency, high-density wet-laid paper mat. Fire retardant to 1000°F (538°C).
• Efficiency: 99.97% on 0.3 micron particles, factory-tested with non-toxic PAO aerosol before shipment.
• Cell sides: Galvanized steel (UL Class 1) or particle board (UL Class 2) standard; stainless steel, aluminum, and aluminized steel available on request.
• Separators: Precision-corrugated aluminum separators maintain exact pleat spacing for consistent airflow across the filter’s service life.
• Gasket: Neoprene gasket, downstream position standard (upstream, both-side, or gel seal available).
