Description
This 24″ × 12″ × 6″ Koch Multi-Flo Synthetic Rigid Cartridge filter (part number 112-660-004) is a MERV 15 rigid extended-surface cartridge engineered for commercial VAV air handlers and high-airflow industrial systems.
Why a rigid cartridge?
The Multi-Flo is purpose-built for variable air volume applications where airflow changes throughout the day. The metal-and-plastic frame construction holds pleat geometry regardless of whether the system is running at 50% or 100% airflow. Non-rigid filters balloon or collapse under changing airflow, creating bypass paths.

- Media: Extended-surface synthetic pleated media, supported by rigid internal separators.
- Frame: Rugged metal and plastic composite — stands up to vibration and variable airflow.
- Header configuration: Single Header.
- Efficiency rating: MERV 15 per ASHRAE 52.2.
What MERV 15 captures
Very high-efficiency commercial filtration: captures most sub-micron particles including smoke and bacteria. MERV 15 is typically installed in commercial air handlers purpose-built for high-efficiency media, or as a final filter in multi-stage filtration systems. Not appropriate for standard residential HVAC without system modification.
