Exact Filters® produces this 39-1/4 x 22-1/8 x 1″ filter to your measurements, so instead of trimming, taping, or forcing a “close enough” size into place, you drop in a filter that fits your 39-1/4 x 22-1/8 x 1″ slot the first time.

Even a quarter-inch of gap around a filter can allow a significant percentage of return air to bypass the media entirely, which is why the exact fit matters as much as the filter’s efficiency rating.
